Instructions

Turn on the PSP by sliding the power button up until it stops. Release the button and the PSP will turn on. If it doesn't turn on, plug in the A/C adapter, as the device's battery is likely dead. It's still possible to play games, music and videos while it is plugged into the A/C adapter. PSP games are held on universal media discs, which are smaller than normal DVDs. Insert the UMD game into the UMD drive in the back of the PSP.

Navigate through the PSP home menu all the way to the right until it says "Game." After reaching the "Game" portion of the menu, click the first icon to bring up a list of available games. This list will display both UMD games, which are the disc-based games, and downloaded games from the PlayStation Network.

Select your game from the list and it will begin to play. When you would like to end the game, make sure to reach a save point so you do not lose your game progress. Then, press the PSP "Home" button and click "End Game." You will be brought back to the PSP home menu.
