How to Fix a Broken Battery Case Cover on a PSP

Sometimes if you are trying to remove your Sony PlayStation Portable (PSP) battery cover you press too hard and it snaps. It is made of very thin plastic, so it breaks very easily. Fixing it is actually simple and will last quite a long time. Because the type of plastic it is made of is quite responsive to adhesives, mending a PSP battery cover is a relatively straightforward process.

Things You'll Need

  • Gorilla Glue
  • Paper towel
  • Sand paper
  • Paint brush

Instructions

    • 1

Purchase a very strong adhesive like Gorilla Glue, Krazy Glue or Super Glue. All of them will work just as well as the next.

    • 2

Prepare your PSP battery cover by sanding the broken edges. Sanding makes the plastic more porous, which allows the glue to act as an even better bonding material.

    • 3

Remove the cap from the glue that you purchased. Squeeze a little bit of the glue onto a paper plate. Take your small paint brush and place it into the glue. Brush the glue onto the battery cover along the break. Connect the two pieces of plastic together and hold it for about five minutes until it sets.

Repeat step 3 if you have more than one piece to reapply. Allow the glue to set for five hours before you reattach it to the back of your PSP.
