How to Convert PSone Games to PSP

When Sony released its PSP, it knew it had the power to play PSone games, but failed to let the public know that it could and how to do it. Playing your PSone games wherever and whenever you want is now a reality with the PSX2PSP program that converts the PSone file into something the PSP can recognize and play.

Instructions

    • 1

Download and install Isobuster and PSX2PSP. Insert your PS1 game into your PC's disc drive and open Isobuster. Isobuster will recognize your PS1 game. Right click your PS1 game at the top of the program and select \"Extract CD Raw\" which will dump the disc into a bin/queue file.

    • 2

Change the \".bin\" file's extension to \".ISO\" which will allow PSX2PSP to recognize it. Open PSX2PSP and open the convert menu. Go to ISO/PBP file and select the ISO file you created.

    • 3

Select where you want the PBP file to be saved by selecting the output PBP folder. Click the convert button and your PS1 game will be converted to a PSP eboot file which means it can be played within the PSP.

    • 4

Copy the resulting PBP file into your PSP at X:\\PSP\\Game\\. You can now select the game from the PSP menu.
