How to Put Movies on PSP Using Nero 7

The PlayStation Portable is a handheld entertainment device made by Sony. In addition to playing games, the PSP can also browse the Internet and play music and video files. Video files such as movies can be put on the PSP via a USB connection between a computer and the PSP. Nero 7 is a multimedia file-converting and disc-burning program. One feature of Nero 7 is the ability to convert video files to a PSP format so that the file can be viewed properly on the PSP's screen.

Instructions

      Open the Nero 7 folder by clicking the "Start" button on Windows and clicking on "All Programs." Double-click on "Nero Recode." If you need a copy of Nero 7 (you will need the Premium version to access Recode), visit the official Nero website for purchase information.

      Select "Recode DVDs and videos to Nero digital" from the options menu on Nero Recode's main screen. Click on "Import Files" on the right side of the Recode screen and locate the movies that you want to move to the PSP. Double-click on each movie to add it to the recoding list.

      Locate the "Nero Digital Profile" drop-down menu on the lower right side of the screen and select "Memory Stick Video (PSP Compatible)".

      Connect the PSP using a PSP-compatible USB cable to a USB port on the computer. Turn on the PSP after you connect it.

      Click the "Next Button" directly above the text box where "Memory Stick Video (PSP Compatible)" is selected. Verify in the "Destination" drop-down menu that "Sony PSP" is selected. There is a drive letter in front of "Sony PSP" which is usually displayed as "E:" or "F:". Click the drop-down menu to select this drive if it is not already set as the destination.

      Click the "Burn" button on the lower right side of the Nero burn screen. Wait for the transfer to finish. Press the circle button on the PSP itself to end the USB connection. Disconnect the USB cable.
