Unplug the power cord from the PSP, and plug it into the wall.
Plug the cord into the PSP. You should see the "charging" light turn orange to indicate that the PSP is charging the battery. Note that if this light does not come on, the problem is not with your power switch but likely with the battery or charging mechanism.
Leave the PSP plugged in for at least two hours to ensure that the battery is completely charged.
Unplug the cord from the PSP and plug it back in. Repeat this quickly a few times until the PSP turns on.
