Things You'll Need
Instructions
Download and install Videora iPod Converter and iTunes from the resources. Open the Videora program and it will ask you which iPod version you own. There will be images to go along with the choices to make the identification process much easier. Click on "Convert from DVD" when prompted to choose what you want to convert.
Insert your DVD into your computer optical disc drive and wait for it to be recognized by your computer. Videora iPod Converter will recognize the disc and will ask you to download an add-on program called DVD Decrypter.
Open DVD Decrypter and go to the "Mode" menu on the top of the program. Select "IFO" mode.
Open the "Tools" menu and select "Settings" to change the file-splitting to none. Click "OK."
Click on "Stream Processing" on the right side of the program and then "Enable Stream Processing." Select the first video at the top of the drop-down menu.
Select where you want to put the file when it is completed by clicking on the "Browse" button next to the destination option. Click on the "Decrypt" button to rip the DVD to your computer.
Open Videora iPod Converter and click "Convert Video File" when it asks you to. On the next screen, browse to where DVD Decrypter saved the video file and select it. Next, you need to name it and choose where it needs to be saved. Finally, adjust the settings on the last page to either make the movie quality better or worse. The better the quality the bigger the resulting file.
Click "Convert" and your video will be converted. When it is finished the file will automatically be added to iTunes. Connect your iPod to the computer and drag the video file onto the iPod icon when it is presented on the left menu of iTunes.
