The PSP camera is a 1.3 megapixel digital device that can be purchased as an add-on accessory for the PSP.
History
The PSP camera was released in November of 2006 in Japan. It went on to be released in Singapore in late 2006 and Europe on May 25th, 2007. As of 2009, there are no plans to release the camera in the United States.
Name
The PSP camera is known by different names depending on where it is sold. It is called the Chotto Shot in Japan and Singapore and the Go!Cam in Europe.
Uses
Photos can be taken in three sizes. The smallest is 480 by 272 pixels, while the largest photo is 1280 by 960 pixels.
Design
The PSP camera is attached to the top of the PSP and photos taken with the camera are saved onto a memory stick inserted into the PSP.
Limits
The only limit to how many photos can be taken is the size of a user's memory card. A one gigabyte memory stick can hold over almost 10,000 photos.
