How to Fix a PSP When the Screen Turns Black

The PSP game console depends upon its removable battery to power the operating system that runs the electronics and the LCD game screen. But if the battery becomes loose or dirt interrupts the batteries contacts while the PSP is first starting up, this can corrupt the operating system and cause the screen to stay black, even though the PSP is working. Correcting this problem can be done in a few hours without damaging the PSP.

Things You'll Need

  • Clean, soft cloth
