Things You'll Need
Instructions
Download the files needed to create a magic memory stick. These files can be downloaded onto your computer's desktop.
Insert a blank memory stick into your PSP Slim and power it on.
Connect your PSP to your computer using a USB connector cable. Enter USB mode by selecting the option from the far left of the cross-media bar.
Open the file folder you downloaded. The name should read Dcv4-TM. Extract all the files from this folder onto your computer's desktop--not onto the connected PSP.
Open the extracted file folder and click on "Install Dcv4.bat". This will install the files onto your connected memory stick.
Press "Circle" on the PSP to exit USB mode. Remove the memory stick from your PSP.
Power off the PSP and reinsert the memory stick.
Remove the battery from your PSP but do not discard it. You can use it after you're finished upgrading the firmware.
Replace the battery in your PSP with the Pandora Battery. This battery allows your PSP to enter service mode, where it can then receive custom firmware updates.
Press the power button to enter the recovery menu while pressing the up directional arrow on your PSP.
Follow the prompts onscreen, which will install the custom firmware onto your PSP. After completion, press X to reboot the PSP.
