Things You'll Need
Instructions
Shut off your PSP and unplug any earphone or power cords from the console. If you have a memory stick or UMD disc in the console, remove them as well.
Turn the PSP face down and remove the battery cover as well as the battery. The battery can be removed by sliding your fingernail under the exposed tab on the top of the battery.
Use asize screwdriver to remove the two screws on the right side of the back of the PSP. Place these screws in a small dish to keep track of them.
Gently lift the sticker covering a third screw where the battery was located. Remove this screw as well as the one directly above it.
Remove the screw on the very bottom of the PSP. This screw is the same size as the other four, so they can be placed together.
Turn the PSP on its back and gently pull the analog stick off the PSP. Only the circular nub needs to be removed.
Slip the front cover of the PSP off. It will expose the screen and the internal circuits of the PSP.
Release the clips holding the screen in place by slowly pushing each one back towards the outer area of the PSP. Start with one side of the screen before moving on to the opposite side.
Move the PSP screen forward. It will still be connected to the PSP via brown wires.
Use your screwdriver to open the clasps that are holding the wires in place. This will release the wires and allow you to remove the scratched PSP screen.
