How to Get Dust Out of a PSP Screen

The more you play it, the greater the chance your PSP has of having the screen become dusty. Dust that is found on the outer screen can be wiped away, but dust that is inside the screen will need to be removed by first detaching the screen from your PSP.

  • Phillips screwdriver size�
  • LCD screen wipes

Instructions

    • 1

      Power off the PSP and remove the battery.

      Remove any UMDs or memory cards that are still in the PSP.

      Remove the four screws located on the back corners of the PSP using a size�Phillips head screwdriver. Two screws will be inside the battery compartment.

      Remove the screw located in the center of the bottom portion of the PSP.

      Gently lift the front faceplate off the PSP and keep it face up.

      Use LCD screen wipes to gently rub both sides of the clear plastic of the faceplate. Allow it to fully dry.

      Use a separate LCD screen wipe to gently wipe the dust away on the screen itself. Be cautious not to wipe near the circuits of the console. Allow the screen to dry.

      Place the faceplate back on the screen and reattach the screws.

      Insert the battery and place the cover back on.
