      Switch the WLAN switch on your PSP to "on." The switch is located on the left side of PSP model numbered 1000 and on the top of PSP models numbered 2000 and 3000. Power on your PSP.

      Navigate the the far left of the cross-media bar to locate the "Settings" menu. Under this menu, select "Network Settings" and press X.

      Choose "Infrastructure Mode" from the menu. This is the second selection available on the screen.

      Select "New Connection" and press X.

      Choose the first option on the WLAN Setting menu. This option is labeled "Scan" and will search out all available wireless connections in your area.

      Choose the connection you wish to use for your PSP. Options that have no security feature will not require a system password to connect.

      Press right to bypass the SSID menu and the WLAN Security Setting menu. These are only used for password-protected networks.

      Select "Easy" under the Address Settings menu and press X to accept the connection name.

      Confirm the information is correct and press X to save and test your found network connection.
