Start up the PSP. Go to "Settings," highlight "Network Settings" and push the "X" button.
Choose "Infrastructure Mode" and push the "X" button.
Select "New Connection" and push the "X" button.
Choose to either "Scan" for networks or "Enter Manually" on the "WLAN Settings" screen and push the right arrow button. Scanning for networks or setting the network connection up manually are recommended if you're using your home network to connect to the Internet. If you scan for networks, your home network will automatically appear and you can connect to it. You'll have to enter all the network information if you set the Internet up manually.
Enter your network's security settings, followed by the network security key.
Choose the "Easy" option on the "Address Settings" screen. This is option is recommended by Sony because it's simpler and faster than "Custom." Your network settings will automatically be entered.
Create a name for your connection. Your default network name can be used, or you can enter a new name. On the following screen, confirm the settings and then push "X" to save the settings.
Select "Test Connection" and push the "X" button to try to connect to the Internet. A screen will appear to alert you about the connection status. If the connection is functional, close the screen and push the "Internet" button to surf the web.
