How to Download PSP Themes
Access the PSN store through your PSP to download both free and premium themes created by Sony. These themes can be downloaded directly to your PSP without any additional software, but you will need a memory stick to save the data.
Select "Themes and Wallpaper" from the PSN store and browse through the listings. You will be offered free themes, as well as those that cost up to $2 apiece. For the themes that cost money, you will need to enter credit card information through your PSP, which will be saved for future use. You can also purchase PSN Cards from video game retailers that will add money to your account.
Visit PSP theme websites on the internet, such as PSP-Themes.Net. These websites have user-created content that can be downloaded and used free of charge. There are two ways to download these themes, from your PSP directly or through a computer.
Use your PSP's web browser to visit www.psp-themes.net and locate the theme you wish to download. When you have found the theme, select the option "Download Theme." Your PSP will automatically download the theme to the correct directory, which can then be accessed through your cross media bar.
Use your computer and a PSP memory card or USB stick to download themes and then transfer them onto the PSP. Before you download a theme, create a folder on the memory card titled "PSP." Next, create a sub-folder titled "THEME." Visit psp-themes.net and find the theme you wish to download. Save the theme file, which will end with ".ptf" in the sub-folder on your memory card.
Place the memory card into your PSP and select "Themes" from the system menu on the cross media bar. You will see all the themes you have downloaded and be given the option to set any one of them as your default theme on the console.
