How Does the PSP Go on the Internet?

The PlayStation Portable contains WiFi capabilities. It can be connected directly to the Internet via a wireless router in your home or office or through a free signal in a public place. Set up an Internet connection to utilize your handheld gaming system's full capabilities--you can browse the Internet, check your email, download games, watch movies and listen to music.

      Select "Settings" in the opening menu of your PSP to reveal a dropdown list.

      Locate and select "Network Settings" by scrolling through the list. Click "X" to enter.

      Choose "Infrastructure Mode" and press "X."

      Select "New Connection" and press "X."

      Select "Scan" and press the left control-pad button to search for an available WiFi signal.

      Select an available signal by pressing left on the control pad. If you have a security-protected network, enter your password. Save your settings for the connection by pressing left on the control pad.

      Test the connection by going to the home menu and scrolling left until you reach "Network." Select "Internet Browser" and press the "X" button.
