How to Put Custom Tracks on GTA Vice City Stories

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories is an action-adventure game for the PlayStation Portable (PSP), and itserves as and add-on to the plot of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. The game is set in 1984 and is inspired by the Miami Vice television series. You play as Victor Vance, who joins his brother to take over the drug business in the fictional Vice City. One of the most popular features for this edition is the ability to be able to upload your own songs.

Instructions

      Install the Rockstar Custom Tracks application to your computer. The installation disc should come with the game. If you don't have the disc, visit the Rockstar games web site to download it (See Resources).

      Connect your PSP to your computer using the USB connector. Make sure you have enough space in your memory stick. Also make sure you have a saved game file from the game on your memory stick to add the custom tracks.

      Insert the CD that contains the songs you want to play in your game. Open the Rockstar Custom Tracks application, and the CD will appear after being detected. Press "Control" and select the tracks you want to be converted. Click on the CD icon that is pointing towards the PSP to begin converting the audio tracks.

      Go to the PSP folder on your computer that has your memory stick files and click on the "SAVEDATA" folder. Go to each folder until you find the icon file of a man riding a bike. Write down the name of this file. Go back to the "SAVEDATA" folder. Right-click on the "CUSTOMTRACKS" folder and rename it the same as the icon file you wrote down with "CUSTOMTRACKS" remaining at the end.

      Eject your PSP from the USB and start up GTA: Vice City Stories. Go to the audio section of the main menu and select "On" for the Custom Tracks option. Test to make sure you can hear all of your songs while playing the game.
