How to Get a Flash Drive to Work on a PSP

The Playstation Portable, or PSP, is a multimedia device made by Sony. Using this device the user can play games, watch videos, access the internet, and look at photos. Although it has many functions, one drawback of the PSP is its limited memory supply. The user must by a memory card to insert into the PSP to save all of their files, however, multiple flash drive can be setup to hold files to insert into the PSP and playback whenever the user would like.

      Purchase a flash drive that will fit into the PSP's memory outlet. These can be purchased whenever PSP's or their internal memory cards are sold.

      Plug the flash drive into the computer and wait for it to load onto the desktop. Once flash drives window opens, select "View all files and folders." On a new flash drive this section will be blank.

      Create all of the folders that appear on the PSP's memory card by right click and selecting "New" inside of the flash drives window. Create folders for, "PSP," UPDATE," "SETTINGS," "MV100," "VIDEO," and "SAVED DATA."

      Double click the folder you created entitled; "PSP." Inside this folder make a series of new folders titled; "GAMES," "MUSIC," and "PHOTOS."

      Save any files you wish to store on the flash drive to the proper location and disconnect the drive from the computer. Plug the flash drive into the PSP, turn it on and open the files just as you normally would with the traditional memory card.
