Instructions
Follow the first-time charging requirements for your Sony PSP. Insert the battery pack into the device and connect the AC adapter.
Plug the AC cord into an electrical wall outlet and check to see if the power light of the PSP has turned orange. Once it is finished charging, the light will go out. Wait until it is fully charged prior to initial use and set up.
Check the battery status on the top right corner of the screen. When the battery appears empty, the PSP battery needs to be recharged. Many users find that draining the battery before recharging can extend the life of the PSP battery.
Purchase a USB sync and charge cable for your Sony PSP. AlPartsSite.com retails this type of power connection for your Sony PSP (see link in Resources). The power cable has two adapters to connect to your PSP as well as a USB power source.
Plug the AC end into your PSP. Connect the other end to the USB port of your PC. You will then be able to sync data over your computer while your PSP charges. Leave it plugged in until the power light no longer flashes orange.
