Things You'll Need
Instructions
Open up the PSP by removing the top lid after all the screws are unscrewed. There are seven screws and most of them can be found when you take out the battery. The other screws will be on the sides of your PSP.
Look for the silver bar at the bottom of your LCD screen. Remove this piece in order to access the ribbon detaching area on the right hand side of the screen. Be careful not to pull too hard or the ribbon could rip.
Disconnect the ribbon by lifting up on the connection slot inside your PSP. The best tool to use for this is a pair of tweezers. If you don't have a pair, grab a precision flat head screwdriver instead.
Look on the side of your LCD screen for small clips that hold it in place. They will pop open by lifting up on each one. Slowly pull the screen toward you and there will be two places where the screen is connected to the motherboard. One will be found on the left hand side. The other is on the top. Detach each ribbon with your tweezers.
Take your new touch screen for the PSP and connect the new ribbons to the same areas you removed the old ones from underneath the old LCD. Once everything is in place, simply work backwards until your PSP player is back together.
