Instructions

    • 1

Convert all your music files to the MP3 format. This is the only audio format that the PSP will be able to play, so if you have M4A or WAV files, then you will have to use Windows Media Player or a free program like Format Factory to convert these files.

    • 2

Gather all your converted files and put them in a central folder on your desktop. Make sure you are only putting MP3s in this folder as the contents will eventually be transferred to your PSP.

    • 3

Connect your PSP to your computer by turning it off and plugging it in via mini-USB cord. the small end of the cord will fit nicely in the top of your PSP and the big in will fit in any standard USB port, although it works best in a USB 2.0 port.

    • 4

Turn on your PSP. A USB symbol should be flashing to indicate that the PSP is now in USB mode. If this is the first time you have connected your PSP to your computer, some drivers will automatically be installed to ensure complete functionality.

    • 5

Go to "My Computer" and double-click on the PSP icon. A new window will pop up and you will see a folder named "Music." Drag the contents of t folder you created in Step 2 into this folder. A transfer status bar will pop up, letting you know that the transfer is in progress.

Disconnect your PSP from the computer once the transfer is complete. Do this by pressing the circle button to get out of USB mode, and then unplug the PSP from the computer. Your music will now be accessible through your PSP via the "music" icon on the cross media bar.
