How to Transfer Files to Your PSP

Your Sony PSP isn't only a fun gaming device, it is also a great tool that can store media; pictures, movies and music, all for your enjoyment. Transferring those media files to your PSP is easy, and the process only takes a few moments. Once you're done transferring your files, you can enjoy your favorite media on the go, wherever you are.

Instructions

      Plug one side of your USB cord into your PSP, and the other side in the USB port on your computer.

      Press the "Home" key on your PSP device. It can be found on the lower left hand side of the screen.

      On your screen, you can then use the directional buttons to choose "Settings" and then scroll down to choose "USB Connection." Press the "X" button to select.

      The words USB Connection will now be displayed on the screen.

      Your computer will now recognize the addition of new hardware. Immediately you will be able to see the PSP as a choice of a hard drive in your My Computer folder.

      Open the file that contains your media files. Select the file name that you want to transfer, and drag and drop it into the PSP hard drive file (Usually the E: or F: drive.)

      Continue dragging and dropping your desired files until you are done.

      When finished, press the "O" button on your PSP to disconnect from the computer. Your files have now been transferred to your PSP and are ready to play anywhere you go.
