How to Get to Network Setup in a PSP

One of the best features of the PSP is its ability to join already-established Wi-Fi networks in your home or around town. Using the PSP's network feature to connect to the Internet, Skype and the PlayStation Network is a fairly easy process, and once you get it up and running, you'll be connecting to networks like a pro in no time.

Instructions

    • 1

Turn on your PSP as you would normally, and then use the d-pad to scroll all the way to the left until you reach the "Settings" menu. It is represented by a toolbox icon.

    • 2

Scroll all the way down to the bottom of the settings menu using the down button on the d-pad, and find the network settings icon. Then press the "X" button.

    • 3

Choose between "Ad Hoc" and "Infrastructure Mode." Ad Hoc allows for communication between PSPs, and Infrastructure Mode searches for an access point.

    • 4

Click on "New Connection." A new window will pop up. You can either scan for local Wi-Fi networks or enter information about your wireless network. Once you have found your network, press "X" to continue.

    • 5

Enter any security/encryption codes in the blue box, and then press "X" to save your network settings. If you have other saved network information, you will be asked if you want to make this new network your default. Simply click "Yes" if you do or "No" if you don't. Your network is now set up.
