How to Put Videos on a PSP

The PSP does support video playback, and it does not have a native video management system that will allow you to download and watch your favorite videos and movies from your computer. Fortunately there is a fairly simple way to get around this, which involves some slight tinkering with your memory card

Things You'll Need

  • PSP memory stick (more than 1GB) USB connector cable

Instructions

    • 1

Turn off your PSP and connect it to your computer using a mini-USB cord. Make sure you have a memory card inserted with at least 1GB of storage space. Turn your PSP back on and select "USB Connection" from the XMB.

    • 2

Go to "My Computer" and select your PSP from the "Storage device" menu. Select the memory stick folder and then create a new folder.

    • 3

Name the new folder "MP_ROOT." Go into your new folder and create another folder called "100mnv01".

    • 4

Drag and drop movies from your PC into this new folder. Once you have finished, disconnect the PSP from the computer and turn it off.

    • 5

Restart your PSP. You will be able to find your movies by clicking on the memory stick image on the XMB and selecting the file name of the video you want to watch.
