How to Put the Internet on a PSP

A PSP is an amazing piece of technology. Not only can you use it to play video games, listen to music and store pictures, but with just a slight bit of configuration, you can access the Internet on it via a Wi-Fi network. You and your PSP can get online and do just about anything you can do with a normal computer on the Internet.

Instructions

    • 1

Flip the switch on the left side of your PSP. It is the WLAN switch, and will connect your PSP to a Wi-Fi network.

    • 2

Go to "Settings" on the main menu. Scroll to "Network Settings." Click on it.

    • 3

Click on "Infrastructure Mode" and create a new connection for your PSP. Name it whatever you want.

    • 4

Go to the "WLAN Setting" menu in "Network Settings." Click "Scan." This will scan for available Wi-Fi networks in the area. Choose the one with the strongest signal. Make sure the Wi-Fi network you choose is either an open network (no password needed) or you have the password for it. Otherwise, you won't be able to use it.

    • 5

If the Wi-Fi network is password-protected, enter the password now. If not, click "None."

    • 6

Go to "Address Setting." Click "Easy."

    • 7

Press X to save your settings.

    • 8

Click "Test Connection." It will show you the Wi-Fi network's information.

    • 9

Go to "Internet Browser" under the main menu. Click on it. After a few seconds, your PSP should load your browser and be connected to the Internet.
