How to Use a CSO File

CSO files are compressed ISO disc images used primarily by the PlayStation Portable game system. CSOs usually contain PSP games, and they function in the same way as ISOs. To use a CSO file, you must connect the PSP to your computer and place the CSO in the correct folder on the PSP̵7;s drive.

      Connect the PSP to a USB port on your computer. Turn on the PSP. When the menu appears, use the arrow buttons to navigate to the ̶0;Settings̶1; menu. Press ̶0;X.̶1; Go to the ̶0;USB Connection̶1; option and press ̶0;X." The PSP enters USB mode and your computer mounts the PSP as an external drive.

      Click the "Start" menu, select "Control Panel," then select ̶0;Computer.̶1; Double-click the PSP̵7;s drive icon. The drive̵7;s contents appear.

      Open the ̶0;ISO̶1; folder on the PSP̵7;s drive. Drag and drop the CSO file into the ISO folder, then unmount the PSP from your computer.

      Press the PSP̵7;s ̶0;O̶1; button to exit USB mode.

      Go to the ̶0;Game̶1; menu on the PSP and press ̶0;X.̶1; The game contained on the CSO file will appear in the list. Select it and press ̶0;X̶1; to start the game.
