How to Get Facebook Chat on a PSP

You can get Facebook chat on the Sony PSP Web browser, but you cannot do so by going to the Web version of the Facebook website. You have to access a mobile version. Luckily, Facebook does have an official mobile version of their Web page. You can also go through a service called eBuddy, a free web based messenger. You can use it to chat with many messenger services including Facebook. There are several mobile version of eBuddy, including one especially designed for the PSP. Before opening your PSP browser you must set up the network connection on your PSP.

Instructions

  1. Set Up Network Connection

      Navigate to ̶0;Network Settings,̶1; "Infrastructure Mode,̶1; then ̶0;New Connection̶1; in the PSP Home menu.

      Press the "X" button to bring up the on screen keyboard. Enter a name for your network connection. Press the right arrow button.

      Select ̶0;Scan̶1; to search for available WiFi networks.

      Follow the remaining on screen prompts to set up your network connection.

    Get Facebook Chat Using eBuddy

      Use the arrow buttons to highlight ̶0;Network̶1; in the PSP Home menu. Scroll down to ̶0;Internet Browser.̶1; Press the "X" button to select the highlighted item.

      Enter ̶0;ebuddy.com/psp̶1; in the browser̵7;s address bar.

      Click the ̶0;Facebook̶1; link and log into your Facebook account.

      Commence chatting.

    Get Facebook Chat Using Mobile Facebook
