How to Make Icons for Games Using ISO Tool

Anyone who has accidentally scratched a PSP game disc knows the importance of backing up your games. You can load games that are backed up in ISO format onto a PSP that runs a customized version of the PSP firmware. Once you load the games onto your system you can create a game icon using the isotool application with just a few button presses on your PSP's controller.

Things You'll Need

PSP running 6.20 TN-C, 6.31 Hen or 6.35 Hen firmware

Instructions

  Start your PSP device.

  Press the "PS" button at the bottom left of your PSP to access the Xross Media Bar.

  Press the directional pad until the ISO Tool icon is active in the middle of the screen.

  Press the "X" button to start the ISO Tool utility.

  Press the directional pad until you highlight the game you want to create an icon for. Press the "X" button to select the game.

  Press the down button once to highlight "Make XMB-ICON" in the menu.

  Press the "X" button twice to create a startup icon for the game on your Xross Media Bar.
