The ability to rebuild a Sony PSP eboot file gives gamers a chance to customize their old PSX games. Customizing them consists of many things. You can add custom icons to their PSP menu displays, or add custom background images and sounds when you load the eboot game on the PSP. You can also add the game title to the PSP game menu.

      Download PSX2PSP from the developer's website. Install PSX2PSP onto your computer.

      Open PSX2PSP on the computer. Click "Convert Menu" on the PSX2PSP menu.

      Click the "ISO/PBP File" option and select your PSP eboot file. Click "OK."

      Click the "Output PBP Folder" option. Select a location on your computer to save the new PSP eboot file.

      Type in the name of the eboot game in the "Game Title" text box. Click the button next to it to bring up a list of games.

      Click the name of the eboot game. This writes the name of the PSP game into the eboot file. Click the "Convert" option to rebuild the eboot file. When reinstalled on the PSP, the eboot now displays the name of the game on the PSP menu.
