How Can You Use a Starbucks Internet for PSP?

In addition to being a game-playing device, the Sony PSP includes a Web browser from which you can view websites. The PSP must first be connected to a wireless network before it can access the Internet; however. If you are away from your home wireless network and want to get online, there are many locations that feature Wi-Fi access, such as Starbucks. When inside a Starbucks location, you can simply connect to its wireless network to begin browsing on the Internet.

Instructions

    • 1

Slide the wireless switch on the left side of your PSP to the "ON" position.

    • 2

Press the "Menu" button, and then scroll to the Settings menu. Select "Settings."

    • 3

Scroll down to Network Settings and then press "X" to select it.

    • 4

Select "Infrastructure Mode," and then "New Connection."

    • 5

Select "Scan," and then choose the Starbucks wireless network.

    • 6

Select "None" on the "WLAN Security Setting" screen, as Starbucks wireless Internet does not require a password.

    • 7

Type a name for this connection if prompted.

    • 8

Confirm that your entered settings are correct and then test the connection.
