How to Watch Hulu on the PSP

Sony's PlayStation portable system, or PSP, lets you watch movies, listen to music, view photos, play games and browse the Internet. Because of the device's Flash player limitations, however, you cannot watch TV shows using the Hulu Plus application that is available on most mobile devices. You can work around this limitation by using the Hulu Plus application on a PS3 system and the PSP's remote play feature.

Instructions

  Turn on the PlayStation 3 system and scroll over to the "TV/Video Services" section of the XrossMediaBar.

  Scroll down to the "Hulu Plus" option and press the "X" button on the PS3 controller. Select the "Yes" option to confirm that you already have a Hulu Plus account, followed by the "Log in to Hulu Plus" option.

  Enter your Hulu Plus account email address and password in the spaces provided, then select the "Next" option to log in to your Hulu Plus account.

  Press the "PS Home" button on the PS3 controller and select the "Quit" option to return to the PS3 XrossMediaBar.

  Connect the PSP to the PS3 via the USB connection cable that came with the device. Scroll over to the "Settings" section of the PS3's XrossMediaBar and select the "Remote Play Settings" option.

  Select the "Register Device" option and confirm that you want to register your PSP with the PS3 system.

  Scroll over to the "Settings" section on the PSP's XrossMediaBar and select the "USB Mode" option to place the device into USB mode. The PSP is now registered with the PS3 system.

  Disconnect the PSP from the PS3 system and scroll over to the "Network" section of the PSP's XrossMediaBar. Select the "Remote Play" option, followed by the "Connect via Internet" option. Confirm that you want to connect to the PS3 system to establish the Remote Play connection.

  Scroll over to the "TV/Video Services" option of the Remote Play XrossMediaBar and select the "Hulu Plus" option. Select the Hulu video you want to watch to begin watching Hulu on the PSP system.
