Removing the PSP Face Plate
Apply a PSP screen protector to the clear plastic that covers the screen. This will ensure that no paint gets on it.
Remove the battery from your PSP.
Use a Phillips-head screwdriver to remove all seven case screws. Two of these are located in the battery compartment.
Pull off the face plate. It should come off with ease.
Painting the Face Plate
Spray your PSP face plate with semi-flat black paint. Add another coat of paint after you've allowed the face plate to dry.
Spray the metallic paint into a disposable tub until a small puddle forms.
Dip a rag into the puddle and then lightly rub it on the face plate, repeating until you have the look you want. Color will gather most on the corners, top speaker grille and other raised areas.
Spray the face plate with clear coat. This will help to keep your face plate protected.
Allow the face plate to dry and then reassemble your PSP.
