How to Remove a PSP-1001 UMD Drive

Occasionally, device hardware can go wrong and need replacing. The Sony PSP handheld gaming system uses a UMD drive to play small discs with the game data. If the drive fails for any reason, you can remove it for replacement by disassembling the PSP. You will need small screwdrivers for the job and should perform it in a well-lit area to avoid losing any parts.
