How to Install Codebreaker in PSP

Softmodding is a hacker community term that refers to any alteration or modification made to your gaming device's basic operating system. Codebreaker is softmodding application designed for use with your Sony PlayStation 2 gaming system. One method of loading the Codebreaker application onto your PS2 device is to install it onto your Sony PlayStation Portable (PSP) device, then connect the PSP to the PS2 for downloading. The process of installing the Codebreaker application onto your PSP is fairly straightforward.

PSP memory stick
Memory stick reader with USB cable

Instructions

  Download the Codebreaker application onto your computer.

  Insert the PSP memory stick into the memory stick reader, then plug the USB cable from the reader into a USB port on your computer. A folder for the memory stick automatically will appear on your desktop.

  Drag-and-drop the Codebreaker application file into the memory stick folder. Then remove the memory stick from the reader, and insert it into the PSP memory stick slot.

  Press the "Menu" button on the PSP to open the main menu. Then navigate to the "Memory card" option, and press the "X" button to open it.

  Select the Codebreaker option in the Memory card screen, then press the "X" button. The Codebreaker application automatically will install onto your PSP device.
