How to Get Past Floor 16 in Persona 3 Portable on PSP

"Persona 3 Portable" chronicles the journey of your protagonist in a quest to explore the mysterious tower Tartarus. Tartarus contains six different sections or "blocks" you must explore before the current month's full moon occurs. In the beginning of the game, the first block Thebel starts from the second floor and ends at floor 16. To get past floor 16, progress through Thebel before returning back to your daily life to advance the storyline.

Instructions

  Progress from floor two to floor five, approaching the trio of Venus Eagles currently guarding the floor. Check your current status before approaching them. Press the "triangle" button to open the menu and choose the available options. Selecting "Skills" allows you to utilize available healing skills outside of battle, a necessity before engaging in boss battles. Switch Personae by choosing the "Persona" option and selecting your deity of choice. Walk forward to engage battle with the Venus Eagles.

  Choose "Attack" or "Skill" to attack the enemy using physical or magic attacks. Use the "L" or "R" buttons to choose your preferred target to attack. Yukari's "Pierce" attack effectively weakens the Venus Eagles, allowing her to attack them more than once. Dispatch the Eagles to activate an "All Out Attack," a special attack allowing all party members to damage the enemy. Continue attacking the Venus Eagles until they fall before progressing through to the next set of floors.

  Advance your way to floor 10 where a group of Dancing Hands await battle. Check your menu to prepare yourself and approach them to initiate battle. Select "Skills" from your battle menu to choose "Rakunda" or "Tarunda," skills that respectively lower an enemy's defense or attack. Repeat your actions from the Venus Eagles battle, choosing physical attacks or magic skills to damage each enemy. Perform All Out Attacks once the Dancing Hands fall down; continue attacking them until you win the battle. Ascend the stairway ahead to the next set of floors.

  Progress to floor 14 after fighting your way through the floors below and approach the Rampage Drive ahead. Choose elemental magic skills to damage the Rampage Drive due to its resistance against physical attacks; lower its attack and defense using Tarunda and Rakunda. Perform All Out Attacks if necessary and keep attacking to win the battle. Continue forward through floor 15 to reach floor 16; take the "Old Document" sitting nearby the gate blocking the next block's entrance. Return to Tartarus' bottom floor with the portal at the floor's left side. Exit Tartarus to progress through the game's storyline, which later unlocks the next block of Tartarus.
