How to Recover a Bricked PSP

Accidentally turning off your PlayStation Portable hand-held video game player during a software update can have the fortunate effect of "bricking" the device. The term originated from the fact that, when this occurs, your hand-held device is now no more that a decorative brick. A PSP can also become bricked sometimes when unauthorized, third-party modifications are added to the device. The steps to unbrick a PSP require the use of a Pandora battery and Magic memory stick to remove the incomplete update or unauthorized modification from the device. This process can be completed in a few steps to get your game player operational again.
