Completely power off the Sony PSP unit. Place your thumb onto the power switch located on the right side of the device. Use your thumb to slide the switch upward. Hold the switch in that position until the unit completely powers off. This typically takes about thirty seconds.
Locate the S-Video port on the PSP unit. The port is marked by an icon of a headset. Place the pronged side of the S-Video cable into the PSP's S-Video port.
Place the color-coded opposite end of the S-Video cable into the television set or monitor's corresponding ports.
Power on the PSP unit. Place your thumb onto the power switch located on the right side of the device. Use your thumb to slide the switch upward, then release. The console will power on and the "Cross Media Bar" will appear on both the PSP and the connected monitor's screen.
Power on the second PSP unit. Allow the unit to fully load. The "Cross Media Bar" will appear. Place the game you wish to share into the unit's disc drive. Allow the game to fully load. Follow the game specific instructions on how to host a multiplayer game session. This information can typically be found in the manual that is included with the game.
Grab the first PSP unit. Use the arrow keys to navigate to the "Game" tab. A set of options will appear. Scroll down and select "Game Sharing." A screen will appear that says "Searching for Players." After about ten seconds the hosted game will appear. Select the game. The game will load on both PSP units and will simultaneously be outputted to the monitor's screen. Both users can then play the game.
