How to Install Devhook on My PSP

Devhook is a PSP firmware that allows you to install and run Homebrew PSP versions of games and run other third-party applications on your PSP. Devhook is the preferred firmware emulator by most PSP gamers looking to run game titles and applications that are not supported by the PSP Sony default firmware. Devhook runs entirely from the memory stick and can even be used to test built-in XMB modifications without the risk of damaging the original PSP firmware.

Instructions

    • 1

Download the Devhook firmware installer. Devhook installation files will come in a zipped format.

    • 2

Install an application that can read zipped files like WinRAR or WinZip.

    • 3

Extract the files onto the root of your PSP memory stick.

    • 4

Disconnect the PSP from the computer after the extraction is complete and navigate to the game menu. A Devhook logo indicates that the Devhook installation is successful.

    • 5

Use the Devhook settings to configure how to run ISO/CSO games as shown below:

Use the "UMD Version 2.xx to 2.0" to set the UMD firmware version.

Use the "Firmware Ver" setting to choose the firmware that you want to emulate depending on the game you are running.

Use the "UMD SELECT" setting to choose the game image to load and play.

Use the "CPU/'Clock Settings: 333MHZ" to increase the PSP game speed.

Use the "BOOT SELECT: REBOOt XMB" setting to either boot from the emulated firmware or do a direct load reboot.
