How to Fix ISO Glitches on a PSP

An ISO file is an archived image of an optical disc. ISO files can be downloaded from many gaming emulation websites. ISO files differ from standard PSP games as they are downloaded as opposed to inserting a universal media disc. Universal media discs are limited to 1.8 GB of memory while ISO files have no space limitations. On occasion, some ISO games will glitch and fail to start, showing a message stating, "The game could not be started."

Instructions

    • 1

Turn on your PSP and hold the "R" button. Your PSP will boot into recovery mode.

    • 2

Press the arrow keys to highlight "Configuration"; then press "X". Navigate to "UMD Mode" and then press "X."

    • 3

Highlight "m33 Driver -- No UMD"; then press "X." This will disable the UMD function that is interfering with your ISO file.

    • 4

Press "Start" and then press "X" to exit recovery mode.
