How Do You Go Super Saiyan in Dragon Ball Z: Shin Budokai

"Dragon Ball Z: Shin Budokai" is a one-on-one fighting game for the Sony PSP based on the "Dragon Ball Z" anime. One of the features of the anime is that the heroes, most of whom are of the Saiyan race, can power-up into stronger forms called Super Saiyans. Each "Dragon Ball Z" game handles these transformations differently. In "Shin Budokai" the Super Saiyan forms of each character must be unlocked before they can be used.

Instructions

  Select "Dragon Road" from the "Shin Budokai" main menu.

  Complete the chapters in "Dragon Road" by defeating your opponents. After certain chapters have been completed, a new form for a character is unlocked. For example, beating Janemba in chapters 1 to 9 unlocks Super Saiyan Goku, the powered up form of Goku.

  Select the Super Saiyan form you want Goku to transform into from the character selection screen. For example, if you want Goku to transform into his Super Saiyan form after you have unlocked it, select it using the analog stick after selecting him.

  Press and hold the left trigger to charge up your ki during a match. Your ki bar, at the top left corner of the screen, must be full before you can transform.

  Press down on the directional pad and "Circle" simultaneously to transform into the Super Saiyan character of your choice. For example, selecting Goku and pressing down and "Circle" transforms him into Super Saiyan Goku.
