Things You'll Need
Instructions
Connect your PSP to your computer via the mini-USB cable, then double-click the "PSP" folder before doing the same with the "Game" folder. This places you inside the folder where the GBA emulator for your PSP is installed.
Open the emulator folder, then the "GBA" and "ROM" folders inside it. If you installed the emulator via the easy installer, the folder name will be " uo_gpsp_kai_3_3."
Place your zipped GBA ROM files inside the ROM folder. The emulator will load the games from this folder when you run it.
Disconnect your PSP from your PC, then start the emulator on your PSP from the "Game" menu. A list of all the available games found in the ROM folder will be displayed. Select the one you want to play and press the "X" button to start it.
Press the "Home" button on your PSP to return to the emulator screen. Select the "Graphics and Sound" option and press "X." Scroll down to "Frameskip type" and press right on the d-pad until "automatic" is selected.
Scroll down to "Audio output" and select "Yes" to enable sound. Press the "Circle" button to return to the previous menu. Scroll down to "Configure Gamepad Input" and press "X." Set the PSP keys to match those of a real Game Boy Advance, for example make the "Circle" button on PSP control the "A" button on Game Boy and the "X" button the "B" button.
Return to the main emulator menu, then select the "Misc" option. Press "Right" on the d-pad while "Clock Speed" is highlighted until "333MHz" is shown. This allows the PSP to run at its full capacity which makes the GBA games run smoother as a result. This can drain your PSP battery faster than normal.
Press the "Circle" button to return to the main menu, then "Circle" again to go back to the game. When you are finished playing, press the "Home" button and select the "Exit" option to exit the emulator.
