How to Use DualShock 3 With the PSP 3000

The Dualshock 3 is a video game controller that has a rumble effect and is used with your PlayStation Portable (PS3) console. It can also be used with your Sony PSP. This will allow you to use the PSP as a console rather than just a hand-held gaming device. You will need to make some technical connections but you don't have to be very tech-savvy to do it.

USB cable

Instructions

  Turn on your PS3 console and your PSP hand-held.

  Use the control pad on the PSP to scroll through the options on screen until you come to "Remote Play." Select it.

  Select "Turn Bluetooth On." Then, select "Register a PS3 Controller" from the list of options that appear on screen.

  Select "OK" to confirm.

  Plug one end of the USB connector cable that came with your PSP to the USB port at the side of your PS3 console. The two devices will now be synced.

  Plug the Dualshock controller into the port on the front of the PS3 console. You can now use that Dualshock to control the game you are playing on the PS3.
