Place your "God Eater" UMD in the PSP and then press "Select" on the PSP to open the custom firmware menu.
Set "USB Device" to "UMD Disc" and connect the PSP to your computer with a mini-USB cable. Copy the ISO file from the UMD disc to any location on your computer.
Disconnect the PSP and set the "USB Device" to "Memory Stick" in the custom firmware menu. Connect the PSP to the PC again and copy the ISO file from your hard drive to the "ISO" folder in the root of the memory card.
Download the "PSP ISO Tool" and extract the contents to the "Game" folder found inside the "PSP" folder of the memory stick. It will be in the "PSP/Game/Iso_tool" folder if done correctly.
Disconnect your PSP from your PC and scroll to the "Game" button on the PSP main menu. Scroll down to "Memory Stick" and press "X" to bring up a list of games and programs installed on the memory stick.
Scroll down to "Iso_Tool" and press "X" to start the program. Scroll down to the "God Eater" ISO file on the menu and press "X" to open the ISO menu.
Select "Eboot Decrypt" and then "Yes" for "Enable the Version Patch" and "Do you want to start." The program will decrypt the ISO file and display a message when it is done.
Scroll down to the "God Eater" ISO file again and press "X." Scroll down to "Patch" ("Patch Prometheus" in some versions of the program) and press "X." Select "Prometheus4" if asked for a "Prometheus Path" and press "X." Select "Yes" when asked if you want to start.
Press "Triangle" and then select "Exit" from the menu when the process is complete. Highlight "God Eater" from the memory card menu and press "X" to start the game on your custom firmware.
