Download Rockstar Custom Tracks. Run the application to begin the installation process. Follow the onscreen instructions. You will be prompted to restart your computer. Select the box titled "Reboot Now," then click "Finish." Your computer will restart.
Place the CD containing the music you wish to add to the game into your computer's CD drive.
Run Rockstar Custom Tracks. Allow the program to fully load. The CD will be automatically detected and imported into the software. Use your mouse to select the tracks from the list that you wish to add to the game. Once you've selected the tracks, click the PSP and CD icon located in the left column of the screen. A new window will appear.
Select the latest version of the game from the list, then click "OK." The selected tracks will be converted to a format the PSP understands. A progress bar will appear. Once the tracks have finished converting, close the program.
Plug the Sony PSP into the computer via USB connection. Once the PSP is connected, turn it on and place it in USB mode.
Right-click on the Start menu located in the bottom-left corner of your screen. A menu will appear. Scroll up and select "Explore." Windows Explorer will open. Navigate to the Sony PSP. Open the PSP folder, then open the Save Data folder. Within the folder is a folder titled Custom Tracks.
Right-click the Custom Tracks folder. A menu will appear. Scroll up and select "Rename." If you have the European version of the game, rename the folder as "ULES00502CUSTOMTRACKS." If you have the American version of the game, you will rename the folder as "ULUS10160CUSTOMTRACKS."
Disconnect the PSP from the computer and run "GTA:VCS." Once the game has fully loaded, open the Pause menu and then the Audio tab. Scroll down to the "Custom Tracks" option. Press the "X" button to enable custom tracks. You will now be able to use custom tracks in "GTA:VCS."
