How to Downgrade Regular Firmware

Downgrading regular firmware on an electronic device will revert the product back to an older software state. In the case of the Sony PSP, downgrading the firmware brings back features that Sony went on to remove in later software updates. The only way to downgrade any regular PSP firmware is to use a service tool. This tool places the PSP into a read/write state where any firmware can be installed onto it.
