Unlocking Bonus Missions
Go to the "Bonus Mission" screen from the game's main menu. Hold "Select" and press "L," "R," "L," "R," "L" and "R" to unlock the "Television Free Indonesia" mission. Repeat this code to unlock the "Heroin Refinery" bonus mission. Enter it one more time to unlock the "Paris-Nice" mission. If the missions don't unlock, exit the menu and re-open it. Hold "Select" and keep pressing "L" and "R" alternately until all of the missions unlock. Make sure you don't release "Select." You must repeat this code every time you want to play these missions.
Online Code
Open your PSP's web browser and navigate to the Splinter Cell Essentials website. Click on the "PSP User" link that appears on the website. It will prompt you to enter a code. Type in "A27200203S" using your on-screen keyboard. This will give you access to all the bonus missions without needing to enter any codes.
Mini-Game Tips
"Splinter Cell: Essentials" features four mini-games that you will play at certain points in the game. These are required to advance past certain parts of missions. One mini-game tasks you with altering voice data. It only crops up once in the game, but it can be confusing. To complete this mini-game, select Sam Fisher's blue voice data and use the "Square" and "Circle" buttons to rotate through green voice data samples while pressing "X" as much as you can. One will eventually match. Do this three times to finish the mini-game.
Mission 1 Keypad
In the first mission, you must rescue a character named Shetland, who is imprisoned in Norte de Santander, Colombia. The third part of the mission (which loads after you drop into a hole at the end of a shaft) has a locked door protected by a keypad. Behind this door is your equipment, which was taken from you at the end of the first part of the mission. You would normally need to talk to Shetland to get the code, but you can enter it at any point to get your stuff back early. The code is "7802."
