How to Revert a Hard Modded Pandora Battery

A hard modified pandora battery is a PSP battery that was taken apart and had a pin removed to change the battery's boot sequence. A normal PSP battery boots the PSP into its normal operating system. A pandora battery boots the PSP into its service mode. In service mode, the PSP can have new software installed onto it, and if it is damaged, the PSP can be fixed. You can also revert the modified battery pack by going through the modding process in reverse.

Instructions

    • 1

Remove the pandora battery from your Sony PlayStation Portable by opening the battery pack on the back and pulling it out.

    • 2

Pull apart the pandora battery, which will be easy, as the hard modified battery needs to be taken apart to access the battery's motherboard.

    • 3

Locate pin "5" on the pandora battery's motherboard. The pin will have been pulled up and bent back. When the pin "5" is disconnected, the PSP battery can be used as a pandora battery. To make it normal again, pin "5" needs to be reconnected.

    • 4

Bend pin "5" back towards the small dot on the battery's motherboard and push it into the small hole underneath the "5" on the motherboard.

    • 5

Place the cover back onto the PSP battery and push it together to put the PSP battery back together. With the PSP off, insert the battery into the PSP. The battery is now reverted and un-modified.
