How to Add PSP Games to Windows

The Sony PSP (PlayStation Portable) is a handheld gaming console first released in 2004. In recent years, there has been a revival of old console video games. As such, not everyone can get their hands on a Nintendo NES, which has resulted in the birth of emulation software. Emulation software now mimics current console systems as well, especially handheld ones such as the PSP and Nintendo DS. Emulation simulates the functions of one system (gaming console) using the resources of another (PC). The result is that gamers can play console video games on a Windows computer with relative ease.

Instructions

    • 1

Install a PSP emulator on your PC. The vast majority of emulators are free and can be readily found on the Internet. Each one is different, though, so read the instructions to learn how to operate your emulator.

    • 2

Plug your PSP into your PC using the USB to mini-USB cable.

    • 3

Download the supported PSP game files from the Internet. Each emulator supports only a finite number of PSP games. To play the games, you must download the necessary files in UMD or ISO format. Check with the developer of your emulator to find out which games are supported.

    • 4

Load the UMD or ISO files in your emulator while your PSP is connected to the computer to play the games.
