Make a connection between your PSP and computer. Connect one end of a USB cord to your PSP and the remaining end to a USB port in your computer. USB ports are typically found on the front of a desktop CPU tower or the side of a laptop. There will also be one on the side of the PSP. A window will automatically come up on your screen after making the connection. This window will display the files on your PSP memory stick. Leave this window open.
Download VNC software to your computer (see Resources). Click the download link on the website to launch the download process. This software is free.
Locate and right click the VNC file on your computer. This will bring up a pop-up menu. Click "Copy" on this menu.
Open the "Game" folder in the PSP memory stick window that is open on your screen. Double click the folder.
Put the VNC software file into the "Game" folder on the PSP memory stick. Right click inside the window showing the contents of the "Game" folder. This will bring up a menu. Click "Paste" from the menu. A copy of the VNC software file is now in the "Game" folder of the PSP memory stick.
Download the TightVNC to your computer (see Resources). This is located on the same website from which you downloaded the first VNC file. Click the TightVNC file to begin the download.
Locate the VNC viewer on the PSP in the game section. Use the arrows to navigate to this option. Press "X" to make the selection.
Make the VNC software the wireless host on your PSP. Enter the IP address of your computer into the current window showing on the screen of your PSP. Press "X" to complete entering the information and bring up the next menu.
Select your computer's operating system from the current menu on your PSP. Use the arrow buttons to navigate to your operating system. Press the "X" button to make the selection. You PSP is now wirelessly connected to your computer using the VNC software as its host.
