How to Watch YouTube on a PSP WiFi Slim

Sony's PlayStation Portable (PSP) has Wi-Fi connectivity among its features. The Wi-Fi makes it possible to connect your PSP slim to a wireless Internet network. Although you may view webpages and download files using the PSP slim's Web browser, you will not be able to stream live videos from certain Flash-enabled websites. Fortunately, there is a way to still watch YouTube videos on your PSP Slim without having to install custom firmware.

Instructions

    • 1

Turn on your PSP slim console. Go to "Network" and select the Internet browser by pressing the "X" button.

    • 2

In the Web browser, go to the YouTube Mobile website (see link in Resources). Select a Wi-Fi Internet network to connect to.

    • 3

On the website, search for the video you wish to watch. Select the video and press the triangle button to open the Web browser menu.

    • 4

Select "Address" from the menu to reveal the URL of the video selected. Write the address link down on a paper.

    • 5

Choose a YouTube video conversion website and enter the URL in the address bar (See the Resources section for a list of links). Click in the box labeled "URL" and enter the YouTube video link address you wrote down. Select the "MP4" video format option and submit the video to be converted.

    • 6

Click "Save" in the pop-up window to save the video and begin the downloading process onto your PSP slim.

    • 7

Exit the browser once the download is complete. Scroll to "Video" and open the video you downloaded from the YouTube website.
