Steps to Putting Music on a PSP

The Sony Play Station Portable (PSP) is a best-selling handheld video game console that lets you play video games, watch videos, view pictures and listen to your favorite music. The PSP allows you to transfer music files from your computer and store them on a memory card so you can listen to them on the go. You can store music in your PSP by transferring the music files from your computer to your PSP.

      Insert a PSP memory stick into your PSP. Connect the PSP to a Mac or Windows computer with a USB Mini-B connector. Turn the PSP on and scroll to the left to the "Settings" menu, then choose "USB Connection." A window will appear, showing you every folder on the PSP memory stick.

      Double-click on the "PSP" folder on your PSP Memory Stick, then double-click on the "Music" folder.

      Open the folder where you keep your music on your computer. Drag and drop your music files into the "Music" folder just as you would transfer files to another folder on your computer.

      Press the "O" button on your PSP gamepad to disconnect the PSP from your computer.

      Scroll to "Music" in the menu screen of your PSP. Select the song you want to listen to and press "X" on the PSP game pad.
